You may have noticed a few changes around here at YaoiSuki. That's because we've moved to a new host, and in the process upgraded and altered a bunch of our features (most notably: embedded wiki and better forums). Unfortunately, we lost our user database in the move, so those of you who were signed up will unfortunately need to sign up again. It's a pretty painless process though!

This is really more of a photo revue than a "review" review, but we think you'll like it anyway. ♥
The auction managed to get everyone in who wanted to enjoy the auction, which was a considerably higher number than those who actually bid. But the second bishi up made over $1000, and he was the first of two-- and only a couple sold for under $200. (We're desperately trying to figure out the best way to actually have money to buy one next year.)
Also, for bingo players: we were decidedly deafened by squees. Even though the bingo square says "at a panel," we've decided that we're going to count this, so mark off that square!
Okay, hit the jump for all the photos!
This is Ben(d), the Digital Manga Publishing employee who was auctioned off-- along with the dress, which his buyer got to keep. He sold for $270, which is way less than we would have paid for him if we had a ton of money, so it was a steal! He also sang "I Love Little Boys" (to the tune, of course, of "I Love Little Girls").
The guy who is standing up and having his pants removed went for over $1000, and he really knew how to work the crowd.
...Did I mention he knew how to work the crowd?
The first catboy of the evening, but far from the last. He also sang ("Y-Con, Y-Con" to the tune of "New York, New York").
I forget what this guy's name was actually supposed to be, but I'm calling him Sven. He came up a bunch of times to teach us silly Swedish phrases.
Catboy #2, "Loveless," who sang Simple and Clean by Utada Hikaru.
Roy was awesome. He has a really nice booty-shake.
He was also very prepared-- in addition to the outer buttcape, he had an underwear buttcape!
Guess who bought Roy?
Aizen had a pet Grimmjaw and Touzen, the lucky bastard. (But he had no couch.)
Small!Ed cheats on the Roy he purchased with, uh, himself. Well, either that or he was supposed to be movie!Al, I forget.
This was one of the butchest Eds I've ever seen, but I didn't mind.
We like dolls.
We REALLY like dolls.
We really, really, really like dolls...
The doll's master didn't sell for as much as the doll, of course, but we all loved him anyway.
By the time Sven was actually auctioned off, he was pretty popular.
This is Lestat.
Lestat was part of a group of six people who did an amazing skit (Lestat vs "Captain Morgan" vs Commodore Norrington threeway swordfight!)-- but only three were supposed to be auctioned off.
That guy on the left with the shorts kept jumping up on stage and doing stuff, but he wasn't a bishi. Sometimes it was great, other times it was kind of annoying.
I liked Captain Morgan's boxers. And I liked what was in 'em. ♥
Commodore Norrington told us that he runs a "tight ship."
This guy wasn't actually supposed to be auctioned off, but he was spontaneously added to the man-meat lineup. AND he sold for a nice sum-- over $400, as I recall.
Lestat was really, really popular.
But not as popular as THIS boy.
Two major buyers fought over him for a while.
In the end, they joined forces to buy him.
Jordan and I were really really jealous.
I forget his name, but I really liked him, and he was very popular-- he was the second bishi to go for $1000 (and the last for the evening).
It took forever for us to get the hosts to have him take off his mask. They thought we wanted him to take off the loincloth (which would have been fine too). The money you see, by the way, is the tips that fans could go up and tuck in during the bidding.
That's it! That's a freakin' lot. Hope you loved it! Meanwhile, we're plotting to buy our own bishi next year... |
