Let's get this show on the road, shall we? Oh, and be sure to check back later-- we'll be opening up voting for reader's choice BL manga of the year!

Best Launch:
801 Media

There were three contenders for this title: 801 Media, Boysenberry, and Deux Press. But between its Yaoi-Con launch (and party), announcements of titles from Fumi Yoshinaga, Toko Kawai, Minami Haruka, PLUS a fave manga of mine (Love is Like a Hurricane)...and getting their first books out EARLY...801 Media takes the penis-shaped cake on this one.
2007 Please License This Award:
Sore Kara Antique

We figured it wouldn't be fair to give this to Under Grand Hotel again, so we went with #2: Fumi Yoshinaga's hardcore Antique Bakery doujinshi. I mean, they're starting to run out of her regular BL manga anyway...

Drama Queen Award for Drama:
Be Beautiful

Who needs dramatic BL manga when you have Be Beautiful? Between its continued difficulties putting out books on time and that amazing (and as yet unresolved, I think) spat with Libre, Be Beautiful kept us entertained better than anything on American TV could.
Ninja Award for the Most Yoshinaga Licenses:
Juné

You may remember from last year that many ninjas give their lives in order for yaoi companies to acquire Yoshinaga licenses, and as the number of available BL manga by her diminish, the number of ninja deaths increase. Juné's team took the most hits this year, with four Yoshinaga titles-- but Blu was close behind with three...

Once again, bonus awards are below the jump.

Most Improved: Kitty Media. Better licenses, better publishing quality-- well, mostly --keep up the good work! Next year we expect a book without a SINGLE typo.

We're Watching You: Seven Seas, who announced that they would be starting a yaoi line at Anime Expo back in July. Woe betide you, Seven Seas, if you pull a "Nymphet" and license something the fans want only to cancel because it's too controversial...

3-Legged Puppy Award: Drama Queen. We're generally inclined towards some good-natured ribbing when it comes to publishers (see: Be Beautiful). But we just can't find it in our hearts to tease DQ too hard, even with all the lateness issues the company has had before. They're just so cute!
