Fumi Yoshinaga's Shit-Ton of Titles Award: Hyouta Fujiyama
Yoshinaga had more actual books out this year-- 10, to be exact --but Juné flooded the market with six Fujiyama titles in only two months July 28th through September 26th). Yeesh! |
Best Mangaka Whose Best Work is Still Unlicensed Mika Sadahiro, Under Grand Hotel
What, did you really think a year would go by without us at least mentioning UGH? |
 |
 |
Best Unlicensed Mangaka: Taishi Zaou
Okay, sure, she's actually had her softcore works published under her pen name Mikiyo Tsuda, but come on-- give us some of the good stuff! Kitty? Blu? 801? Bueller? |
Thank God It's Over La Esperanca
Okay, the series had its share of sweet moments...but why are longer hardcore series left unlicensed while this barely-yaoi title churns all the way through? Now that it's over, let's rethink some priorities! |
As before, hit the jump for bonus awards!
Most Unpronounceable Title: Midaresomenishi No explanation necessary, right? Seriously, just say it five times fast. Or try.
Best Product Placement: Hyouta Fujiyama Fujiyama-sensei has been spotted sneaking the covers of some of her books into the background of other works. Very clever, Fujiyama-- very clever indeed!
Best Fumi Yoshinaga Manga: Ichigenme With a whopping ten releases, this may be the last year we could give this award-- they're running out of BL manga of hers to release here! That said, of this year's Yoshinaga crop, we really dug the tale of two law students that is Ichigenme.
And a reminder while we're at it...don't forget to enter the Yaoi-ConTest if you haven't already! |
