You may have noticed a few changes around here at YaoiSuki. That's because we've moved to a new host, and in the process upgraded and altered a bunch of our features (most notably: embedded wiki and better forums). Unfortunately, we lost our user database in the move, so those of you who were signed up will unfortunately need to sign up again. It's a pretty painless process though!

So, as with last year we're hosting a contest in conjunction with our trip to Yaoi Con. Last year we held a "guess the license" contest, which was fun, but which had no winners! This year, we decided, we WOULD GIVE SHIT AWAY. (We like to.) But of course, we wanted the contest to be doable for those who can't attend Yaoi-Con as well as those who can, and also we wanted it to force people to read our reports. So we came up with...Yaoi-Con Bingo! Here's how it works: we made up two bingo cards with various possible Y-C occurrences on them. First you e-mail us and pick either card 1 or card 2. Then follow our Y-C coverage, and the first three people who report a bingo for each card are our first, second, and third prize winners, respectively. If there are no bingos, then the first three people for each card who e-mail us after our final Y-C post (which we'll label as such) are the winners. For more detailed rules, hit the jump. But of course, here's the more important info...the prizes, most of which were acquired by Jordan directly from Japan! (Photos coming soon.) Card #1 Prizes: First Place: A box of Butler Cafe cookies and a Lamento sticker Second Place: Butler Cafe Aburatori Gami (oil-absorbent face wipes) and a copy of ONE yaoi manga announced at Yaoi-Con 2007 (when it comes out) Third Place: A card from The Etiquette of Tea by Yaya Sakuragi Card #2 Prizes: First Place: A big clear poster from Great Place High School by Our Kingdom's Naduki Koujima Second Place: Kyo Kara Maoh trading cards Third Place: A copy of ONE yaoi manga announced at Yaoi-Con 2007 (when it comes out) For more rules and to see the bingo cards, hit the jump! Discuss this on our forums. The Official Rules: You MUST be over 18 to play. We may require you to scan us a copy of your driver's license. U.S. and Canada residents only. Sorry, but some of these items (especially the cookies) can be tricky to ship. You can only play one card, and you can only win one prize. Obviously! By entering, you certify that any prize you may win can be legally received where you live. You also agree to take on any and all legal responsibilities for receiving said package. How to Play: First, This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it and tell us your name (or username) and which card you want to play. If you want to win a prize you MUST e-mail us with your intent to play by 11:59pm on Thursday, October 25th. No exceptions! Next, follow our Yaoi-Con coverage and keep track whenever we report something that is on a card. (You may want to print your card out so you can mark it.) Note: if we don't report it, it doesn't count, even if it really happened! Don't worry, we'll report every thing we can and we'll also make it pretty obvious in our posts when we report an item. The first three people to get a bingo on EACH card will be our first, second, and third place winners-- three winners per card. If EITHER card has NO bingos: we will post an entry that is labelled our FINAL Yaoi-Con 2007 post. Once that report is posted, the first three people from a bingo-less card will be our three winners. If you're going to e-mail us to claim a bingo, be sure to include your name, address, bingo card number, and ALL five items that make up your bingo. We'll be checking!
