From Passivesoul on the Fumi Yoshinaga LJ comm, there is a link to this year’s Eisner Award Nominees. DMP's version of Fumi Yoshinaga's Antique Bakery, with the scratch and sniff covers, got a nomination for "Best U.S. Edition of International Material-Japan". Also nominated in this category is Go! Comi's After School Nightmare, by Setona Mizushiro.

Links is the following paragraph might not be safe for work. From Crocodile Caucus it looks like the Australian Gay Magazine DNA is doing an article on yaoi. If anyone knows how I can nab a copy of this magazine, let me know. You can also see the cover at the DNA Magazine Website.

Also, there are announcements out there for The Fourth Lights Out, the Philippine Yaoi Con. They have their own Yaoi Con? Go them.

For those of up who are curious how big the 'niche' market of yaoi is, I have two pieces of info.

One is this article at Publisher's Weekly about Aurora Publishing. The important bit is near the end, where Mikako Ogata is quoted as saying about yaoi "You can expect sales of 10,000 copies for each book".

Another is the top 20 best selling manga for March. You may recognize some of the titles. The list is at Precocious Curmudgeon. Source: MangaBlog.
