You may have noticed a few changes around here at YaoiSuki. That's because we've moved to a new host, and in the process upgraded and altered a bunch of our features (most notably: embedded wiki and better forums). Unfortunately, we lost our user database in the move, so those of you who were signed up will unfortunately need to sign up again. It's a pretty painless process though!

NOTE: If you saw that "suspension" message for the hour or two it was up this morning, never fear! It was a glitch of our hosting service's and we're not in trouble. All is well. ;)
I heard back from Rachel at DMP regarding 801 Media. Of particular interest to those of you who were curious as to whether 801 Media would be an imprint like Juné or not.
She says that 801 Media will be completely independent of DMP in terms of it being a company, but that they will have good relations with each other-- sister companies, she says, rather than parent/child.
And she says that although the titles are pretty well set, she can't give me any hints on them, and I just have to wait until Yaoi Con. And we all know how good I am at waiting! *starts pacing*
I've reprinted her e-mail below the jump. :)
So what titles do you HOPE they'll license? {mos_sb_discuss:17}
Hey Jen!
801 Media Inc. is a separate company from Digital Manga Publishing, it
isn't an imprint like June. So it is a completely separate entity. I
guess one way you can look at it is that Digital Manga Publishing and
801 Media Inc. are sister companies. So they are entirely different
companies but we get along really well. It is really hard to explain,
but it is kind of like Amazon and Borders. Amazon and Borders are
competitors, but Borders doesn't really have an online presence and
Amazon doesn't have retail stores. So the Borders' online store is
actually Amazon.com but Borders and Amazon.com are two separate
companies with differnet boards of directors and different stock...I
don't know if that makes any sense to you.
As far as title announcements, 801 Media Inc pretty much has their 2007
release schedule fixed. The titles will be announced at their panel at
Yaoi Con 2006. As far as hints...Anything I could tell you would be
very cryptic and probably just start more rumors on the internet! *lol*
