You may have noticed a few changes around here at YaoiSuki. That's because we've moved to a new host, and in the process upgraded and altered a bunch of our features (most notably: embedded wiki and better forums). Unfortunately, we lost our user database in the move, so those of you who were signed up will unfortunately need to sign up again. It's a pretty painless process though!

So, I mentioned before that we were having a second contest. Note that I still have to get it OK'd by the AX staff (on Monday). I'm pretty sure they'll be cool with it though.
Anyway, it is a Spot the Jen contest! If you see me at Anime Expo, you get to come up and say hi. (Click read more for tips and info on which crazed yaoi fangirl I'll be.) Additionally, if we see you in yaoisuki swag, you will also win!
"But but but, what is the PRIZE!?" I hear you pant, your bosom heaving as you-- uh, sorry. *coughs*
The prize is an exclusive sticker that we will NOT be offering on the store EVER, and may never be offered again either. (We're just not sure.)

So, before I get into the details, here is what the sticker looks like:
WE ONLY HAVE 25 STICKERS. Once they're gone, they're gone-- valid only while supplies last, etc. Sorry!
So, how to spot the Jen:
1. I will probably be dressed as one of the following (if I have time I'll put pictures up of me in costume later this week):
Suiseiseki from Rozen Maiden
Tifa from FFVII: Advent Children
Ballgown!Rose from Fullmetal Alchemist
Anna from He Is My Master (or, okay, honestly? Random French Maid. Sorry.)
2. I am 5'3"ish (maybe 5'5" with some of the heels I'll be wearing).
3. I am MOST likely to be in the Suiseiseki costume during the morning and evening and the french maid outfit in the afternoon (for heat reasons).
4. I am not sure I will wind up wearing Rose or Tifa at all.
5. You can tell that the Rose is me because I'll be in a ballgown, will NOT have pink bangs (I did back when I made the costume originally), and will be carrying around a baby.
6. You can tell that the Tifa is me because my zip-up top has spaghetti straps (instead of the wide ones Tifa actually wears).
7. I may have a Wolfram with me. (The blonde one, if you don't know.) And a few other non-cosplayers, possibly.
7. I spend most of my time in the dealer room. Seriously. I may also just be wandering around, or possibly even going into the video rooms. I also want to go to the dance, if any of my friends'll go with me. I'll probably be Anna or Tifa for that.
My apologies to those of you who can't make it to AX. Seriously, I'm sorry we can't just have a nation-wide Spot the Jen contest and that I can't just flit all over the place for it. But we are limited more or less to the west coast at the moment.
I kind of hope to turn this into something we do at every con, so when we start saying I'll be at Sakura or Fanime or whatever, prepare to see another post with a contest like this. :)
Oh, and we'll also be leaving flyers out at freebie tables when possible! Soooo if you see them be sure and point and say "hey, that site rules," okay? XD |
