Those giant, blank-looking eyes are going to haunt my nightmares for the next week.

The heavily stylized art in this series was very distracting, perhaps I am just unused to the manhwa style. I thought that the art was gorgeous in any panel where you can't see the eyes or the eyes are all closed. But, in some panels the eyes take up about forty percent of the uke's visible face. Some of the elaborate outfits the nobles wear are very detailed and interesting. Some of the outfits are ugly, but that may be intentional.Boy Princess - *snuggle*

Enough on the art, onto the story. There *is* a story under those giant, blank looking eyes. Seriously, the uke looked drugged the whole time. Princess Elena ran away to marry a commoner, so her brother must pretend to be her and enter into an arranged marriage. Prince Nicole, yes, that's his name, is bundled into her clothes by his other brothers. They are only too eager to send him off, even though the ruse cannot last forever.

Boy Princess - TAIHEN!

Despite the gimmicky premise, the story moves forward nicely. Nicole does a poor job of hiding his gender. Only about 30 pages in our seme is calmly eating the apples the uke was using as makeshift boobies. Nicole and his sister do look pretty much identical, so the story gets a bit hard to follow when she rejoins the plot. This title has alot of potential. However, it is shonen-ai, not yaoi. I think this title will have more gushy romance than angst or steamy scenes. Boys in dresses are just irresistible though... or is that just me?
