You may have noticed a few changes around here at YaoiSuki. That's because we've moved to a new host, and in the process upgraded and altered a bunch of our features (most notably: embedded wiki and better forums). Unfortunately, we lost our user database in the move, so those of you who were signed up will unfortunately need to sign up again. It's a pretty painless process though!

Due to some of the reactions to my previous article, I've written a slightly more in-depth article about my theories on rape in yaoi (some of which aren't fully developed yet, sorry). If you're interested, it's here.
Keep in mind, of course, that while the article isn't graphic, it IS about the very adult theme of rape. So if you aren't interested, don't click; you've been warned!
In other news, we hit 200 members today! Now, if only all 200 of you would chat on the forums with us...

DramaQueen announces Manhwa Titles |
|
|
|
|
Monday, 24 April 2006 |
For many in the yaoi fandom, DQ doesn't stand for Dairy Queen-- it stands for DramaQueen, who bring such awesome yaoi titles as super-yummy Lies & Kisses.
DQ announced yesterday that they would begin releasing manhwa, or Korean manga, and announced two titles. Neither looks like a yaoi title, but then again, they both have multiple male stars, so who knows?
The first is called Audition and is about four miscreants who form a band that becomes wildly popular...the second is called DVD, in which a girl meets two boys via a phone number left on a DD bra tag in a lingerie department. Hey, don't ask me, I'm just the reporter.
DQ promises that "the yaoi line will always be [their] flagship," but that these manhwa are just too great to pass up.
Speaking of the yaoi line, they've announced two new titles there: White Guardian and Crimson Wind, both by Duo Brand. (Thanks again to kashinosei on Y_D_C.)
First seen on AnimeonDvd.com. Original release on DQ's site.
