You may have noticed a few changes around here at YaoiSuki. That's because we've moved to a new host, and in the process upgraded and altered a bunch of our features (most notably: embedded wiki and better forums). Unfortunately, we lost our user database in the move, so those of you who were signed up will unfortunately need to sign up again. It's a pretty painless process though!

Sorry we're a little late on this, folks-- I've been zonked all weekend due to some crazy last-minute travelling I had to do, but fortunately MangaCast reminded us that the RUSH blog is now live!
At the moment there are posts from HSST (the site design team), Lara Yokoshima (creator of Master), Goku (Guardian Angel), and Lynsley Brito (Venom Fang). All three artists included some art for their pieces, and since Guardian Angel and Venom Fang aren't starting until issues #01 and #02 respectively, it's awesome to get a bit of a sneak preview.
Information on Venom Fang is now up as well, but still nothing on Guardian Angel, alas!

Jun´ Manga has just announced a Christmas contest: just fill in your info, answer a question about your manga-related hobbies, and tell them if you've been Naughty or Nice!
The prizes are grab bags, each of which will contain at least one advance release book. There are also references in the rules to autographed items!
There are a total of five prizes to be won. Many will enter, few will win, I guess. ;)
Oh, and you have to be 13 or older to enter!

No, no, they haven't announced the new titles yet-- but we've gotten some hints!
Contrary to rumors, Kitty's "ten titles" are NOT a single ten-volume series.
They ARE:
- A new volume of a series they're already publishing
- Two one-shot volumes by the same creator (...as each other, not as the above, I'm guessing)
- A three-volume series
- A two-volume series
That only adds up to 8 volumes-- the other two are shoujo titles, apparently. (Does that mean that this list includes regular Media Blasters, non-Kitty titles? In which case, it could include soft titles?)
This is all according to Boys On Boys On Film's Wiggle, btw, on the Yaoi in English Yahoo! group.
A little speculation: the only manga series Kitty has published, to my knowledge, are Level C and Can't Stop Loving You. They've already published both volumes of CSLY, so I'm guessing it's a volume of Level C.
Other than that, I got nothing...but Boys on Boys on Film is going to host a guess-the-title contest, so keep an eye out on their site! (And if you don't, we will. Yay for contests WE can enter!)
Hmm, aren't there three volumes of Under Grand Hotel?...

If you're a regular on any of the main yaoi communities on LJ, you're probably aware of BENT, a new western BL magazine including original BL short stories, essays, art, and reviews. (Why, yes, some of our reviews are in it, now that you mention it! *cough* Shameless self-promotion? Never.)
The magazine is available in both a print format ($9.97) and a download format ($3.33) here. I just downloaded a copy for us, and although it's low on fancy frills, it's heavy on content-- it's a full 80 pages. (We're also grabbing a print copy, and yes, we will do a review when we find time.)
Oh, and it's very definitely rated M for Mature. 18+ only buyers, please! ;)
* (A little hint if you're new to Lulu-- if you buy the downloadable PDF version, you won't get an email with the link to the PDF. You have to check the Downloads section. Kinda stumped me the first time...^^;)

So we've been poring over and pondering all your responses to our survey contest, and we have a few announcements. Here they are in brief-- for the detailed version, check the jump.
1. No pop-up ads, ever, we promise. We WILL be doing banner ads. (Interested? It's cheap! Check here for info.)
2. Per requests, more global BL reviews, and artbook reviews when possible.
3. Post on the forums! Don't be scared!
4. Jordan and I are starting our columns soon. There'll be one a week (we'll alternate weeks). Just gotta jan-ken-pon for who's first...
5. As the post-yaoi con rush slows, so too will our reviews. We'll probably be hopping back to an every-third-day schedule in the near future.
6. WIKIWIKIWIKI. It's here. (Click here for a sample article. If everyone does a favorite title or two, it'll get complete in no time!
