You may have noticed a few changes around here at YaoiSuki. That's because we've moved to a new host, and in the process upgraded and altered a bunch of our features (most notably: embedded wiki and better forums). Unfortunately, we lost our user database in the move, so those of you who were signed up will unfortunately need to sign up again. It's a pretty painless process though!

A little while ago we posted a few words from Blu which included mention of the Takumi-kun novels (and yes, I did accidentally call them the Tamaki-kun novels. I know I watch too much Host Club. Shut up!)
Anyway, today the Takumi-kun novels popped up in the news again, this time at ComiPress. They report that author Shinobu Gotoh (YaoiWiki entry) and illustrator Ooya Kazumi (YaoiWiki entry) held an autograph session on December 3rd at the Animate store in Yokohama. See their entry for more links and info.
Not technically yaoi, but tangentially related: PWCW has an interview up with Hikaru Sasahara, the president of DMP.
Also courtesy of ComiPress, Higuri You (YaoiWiki entry) has created a poster for the American Library Association's poster series. It's of Cesare Borgia from her non-BL series "Cantarella." More info here.

So Rei over at Juné (Upcoming Releases | YaoiWiki) has posted to the Juné Editors Blog about the Cold Sleep novels. Here's the main gist:
"In the Cold Sleep series, there are three novels: Cold Sleep, Cold Light and Cold Fever. Cold Sleep is available in stores. Cold Light and Cold Fever are stuck in the Libre/Biblos twilight zone for now."

Okay, okay, I admit it-- I kind of lied when I implied yesterday that no announcements had come out of 801 lately. As has already been mentioned on various blogs, pictures of some of the sample books from 801 were posted to their forums here last week. You can see they're going for high quality printings-- they kind of remind me of DQ's, actually. (They will NOT be traditional DMP-size, remember.)
On a much, much sillier note, we've also been rehashing some of our favorite holiday music on this thread. ♥
Check below the jump for my renditions of "12 Days of Yaoi," "We Wish You a Smutty Christmas," and "Ukes We Have Heard On High." OR check the thread I just linked to for mine and a few other peoples'.

Blu has offered up a few morsels of info, including a licensing hint, on their forums (check the post by shonen-ai-samurai on 12/07)!
First off: Love Pistols and Love Mode are being delayed.
"We're facing serious licensing issues due to the change over from Biblos to Libre. So Love Pistols and Love Mode are in a holding pattern until things are worked out."
There are some unannounced books that were also affected by the Biblos/Libre thing, but they've moved up the Takumi-kun novels and Bokura no Unsei to make up for it.
They also say that there's more novel news on the horizon, "inlcuding one with pirates..."!

Let's see, that means we've heard from Kitty, DQ, Blu, Juné, and Be Beautiful (sort of-- they actually finally released something at least) recently. Think we'll hear more from Iris, Yaoi Press, and/or 801 Media soon? XD |

What? Not enough features and information on the site?! And here we do nothing but exhaust ourselves for your pleasure! *sob*
...Well, okay, maybe we do a couple of other things. :X
Anyway, we now have a list of links to creator sites, including Kouga Yun's, Higuri You's, Duo Brand.'s, and many others. (It's all this thread's fault!) Feel free to submit more creator links here (you must be logged in). ♥
Those of you who aren't just watching on LJ or TokyoPop have no doubt noticed that we have a banner ad up for Juné! If you feel bitter about it, keep in mind that a) it's to cover the costs of running the site, and that b) we'll do our best to only accept ads that are BL/yaoi-related. We want these ads to work out so we don't have to try and figure out some weird way to recover costs, so be sure and click if you're interested :)
And if you don't want to click the banner, why not check out our swagshop? We've got a lot of really fun stuff there. And we just added some NEW products too: the "That's not shota, that's a HOBBIT!" line! Because we are dirty, dirty people. I don't even know what we were discussing when Jordan said that. But...voila, it's immortalized in shirts and stuff now. ♥♥ (Oh, and there will be some new versions of other products available soon too, like long-sleeved dark shirts and stuff.)
