You may have noticed a few changes around here at YaoiSuki. That's because we've moved to a new host, and in the process upgraded and altered a bunch of our features (most notably: embedded wiki and better forums). Unfortunately, we lost our user database in the move, so those of you who were signed up will unfortunately need to sign up again. It's a pretty painless process though!

Yaoi Press put out a press release today with a big announcement: they have opened up a store where you can buy their stuff (and other companies' as well) at everythingyaoi.com!
According to the release, this online shop will be "the first store to sell all available yaoi merchandise exclusively." (I assume they mean that it's the first yaoi-only store that does this, anyway.)
The shop will also feature free shipping and a rewards system; for their opening they also offer a free Manga University Workbook for anyone who nabs 50 rewards points (~10 manga) by Jan. 30th.
This went unmentioned in the press release, but there's further information of YP's upcoming artbook, Yaoi Gothic An Explicit Artbook, with art by western BL artists like Laura Carboni, Le Perrugine, Dany&Dany, Daniel Kim, Tamara Alvarez, M.A. Sambre, and Maureen Babb.

Wiggle on the Yaoi_in_English Yahoo! group tells us that Drama Queen has licensed Devil X Devil.
She also says that in spite of all the problems DQ is having, they will be shipping Challengers 3 and Virtuoso di Amore on January 8th. Last Portrait will be delayed further due to a mistake in cutting by the printers. She also suggests that you check their forums to keep yourself updated on this news if you, like we, are panting for your copies of these books.
Elsewhere on teh netz0rs: ComiPress has a fantastic article about fujoshi (female BL fans in Japan) and the "war" that they've declared.
Do you remember that guy in the Hellsing manga, who gives this big speech about how he loves war? Well, Toranoana-- the store behind this (marketing) revolution --rewrote it to be a speech about loving BL. Permit me to excerpt:

Over at the Yamane Ayano Livejournal Community Mtarashidango posted some interesting information about cookies. I can only read a bit of the Animate webpage, but it looks like the designs are by Yamane Ayano, Yuuka Nitta, Hinako Takanaga and some others.

Note, this company does not ship goods to the US. There is a US version of the site here, which isn't much help. Also, if the information posted to Livejournal was correct, the cookies are only available at one store in Ikebukuro.

Yes, I know we've been quiet lately, but never fear-- we're just gearing up for the new year!
A couple of quick pieces of news:
1) Those of you who were hoping to see the new Okane ga Nai OAV this month will be a bit disappointed; the release date in Japan has been pushed back to February (thank G for the tip on the yaoi_in_english y!list).
2) On a happier note, the Pleasure Dome manga is available as an early release on Media Blasters/Rareflix's eBay store.
We'll be getting back to our regularly scheduled reviews ASAP, along with our new columns.
Also, be sure to keep an eye on the site in February-- it'll be our first birthday later in the month! And yes, you can expect contests and prizes, along with some other fun goodies we have planned. <3
