You may have noticed a few changes around here at YaoiSuki. That's because we've moved to a new host, and in the process upgraded and altered a bunch of our features (most notably: embedded wiki and better forums). Unfortunately, we lost our user database in the move, so those of you who were signed up will unfortunately need to sign up again. It's a pretty painless process though!

Hinako Takanaga at Yaoi Con 2007 Wednesday, 14 March 2007 Just got a press release from DMP-- Hinako Takanaga, the creator of Little Butterfly, Challengers!, and others, will be the publisher's guest at Yaoi Con 2007! Lots of News Items Written by Nikki Green    Tuesday, 13 March 2007 Yaoi Press has clarified that "Dark Dreams" is an artbook, not a manga. Comi Press has a news about a BL light-novel imprint from Shogakukan ending in favor of two new ones. Over at Pennlive.com there was news article about yaoi. This reporter did his homework and talked to some people in the industry. It's pretty good for a mainstream press article. Broccoli Blog has a post saying that they have already finished the translation for Delivery Cupid. They have a very detailed production blog. So keep an eye on it if you want to see covers as soon as they are done and stuff like that. There is some happy news out of Iris Print. The first is that R.W. Day’s A Strong and Sudden Thaw is a finalist for the Lambda Literary Awards. From Manga Blog, Go Comi is hosting a blog for Wendy Pini’s new webcomic project. So, why do we care? That’s because Masque of the Red Death is not just a manga style retelling of the Poe classic in webcomic format, it’s apparently also a yaoi themed retelling ... Friday, 09 March 2007 ICv2 has information from 801 Media / Juné that includes a SLEW of new titles. I'll post the most exciting new licenses here, and the full list after the jump. (Note: the new ones are all mixed in with older announcements, so sorry if we accidentally think something is new that isn't.) Juné: Has nabbed Ka Shin Fu by Tateno Makoto, plus more Fujiyama Hyouta titles: Spell, Sunflower, and Freefall Romance. 801 Media: Licensed Sensitive Pornograph! *insert happy Jen dance* Interestingly, DMP has licensed a presumably non-BL title of Yoshinaga Fumi's, Garden Dreams. Also, one additional 2007 title will be announced shortly. From the release: Yaoi Press has announced the second title to their new line of art books. Dark Dreams will showcase the work of Italian studio Dany&Dany. The 64 page book will focus on beautiful men and male/male romance. Unlike Yaoi Press’ explicit Yaoi Gothic art book, Dark Dreams will have a 16+ rating. This is the fourth book Yaoi Press will publish by Dany&Dany in 2007. Yaoi Press has also announced the three volume graphic novel series, Dark Prince. This is the second series to be written by Yaoi Press publisher Yamila Abraham. New artist discovery M. A. Sambre is illustrating the series. Dark Prince is a gothic manga focusing on a prince whose demon lover commands him to murder young men. Dark Prince will run simultaneously with the Yaoi Press’ bestselling Winter Demon series, which is also written by Abraham.
