You may have noticed a few changes around here at YaoiSuki. That's because we've moved to a new host, and in the process upgraded and altered a bunch of our features (most notably: embedded wiki and better forums). Unfortunately, we lost our user database in the move, so those of you who were signed up will unfortunately need to sign up again. It's a pretty painless process though!

Mangablog posted two press releases, one from Central Park Media and one from Be Beautiful. They didn't really say much outside of the fact that they did put out books when they said they would. I am sort of amused by these press releases, especially since Casino Lily, one of the titles mentioned, has been in stock at Amazon.com for several days now. So, anyways, they still exist.
Over at Kitty Media they actually updated their website. The missing pages of Thunderbolt Boys Excite have been posted. You can find them here and here. Also, clicking the 'manga' tab on their website shows a page about their yaoi manga.

An entry over at the Broccoli Blog talks about Delivery Cupid. Broccoli hopes to have it available at Anime Expo.
There is an interesting detail in this article about the game Panty Explosion. The company making it, Atarashi Games, will make a yaoi RPG next.
Also, according to an email in my inbox yesterday, Drama Queen's Rush #1 started shipping yesterday.

Newtype has posted about wanting a yaoi fangirl columnist.
Also, there have been interesting things happening at the 801 Blog. It's a good thing to keep your eye on, as they posted about making a limited number of their advance copies available for sale. Those copies were likely long gone before I ever saw that notice, though. Also, they have some new comics to go on the back flaps of their books and they mention that they have a winner for thier T-Shirt contest. In case you missed the thread on our forums, it was our own Jen Parker who won. Yay, Jen.

As Usami pointed out on our forums, Anime News Network has information on a new yaoi anthology magazine coming out in Japan called Hug. The magazine will have a second season of FAKE by Sanami Matoh and a new work from Kazuma Kodaka called Border.
Via MangaBlog, ICv2 has an article about Yaoi Press doing a bi-monthly comic book line called Yaoi Candy. The series will run both previously printed and new material. They are also doing a one-shot comic book called Offered to a Demon.
At Comipress, there is a news snippet about Comic High!, the new shoujo manga anthology aimed at girls AND boys. Appearently, it will include yaoi. Maybe it's not just in America where lots of guys read shoujo and yaoi. I will be very interested to see what kids of material they run.
Pages of June's first original manga, L' Etoile Solitaire, have arrived. You can see them at their blog here. L' Etoile Solitaire is by a Japanese mangaka, but it is being written in English.
Anime News Newtork had more yaoi-related news recently. There is a major advertising campaign going on for Tonari no 801 Chan in Japan. The title is often translated as "My Neighbor 801-chan". It's a manga about a guy who dates a yaoi-obsessed girl. This manga is currently sadly unlicensed.
The website Kawaisa.net is having a contest where the prize is a Loveholic poster autographed by Toko Kawai. Pretty awesome.

From Passivesoul on the Fumi Yoshinaga LJ comm, there is a link to this year’s Eisner Award Nominees. DMP's version of Fumi Yoshinaga's Antique Bakery, with the scratch and sniff covers, got a nomination for "Best U.S. Edition of International Material-Japan". Also nominated in this category is Go! Comi's After School Nightmare, by Setona Mizushiro.
Links is the following paragraph might not be safe for work. From Crocodile Caucus it looks like the Australian Gay Magazine DNA is doing an article on yaoi. If anyone knows how I can nab a copy of this magazine, let me know. You can also see the cover at the DNA Magazine Website.
Also, there are announcements out there for The Fourth Lights Out, the Philippine Yaoi Con. They have their own Yaoi Con? Go them.
For those of up who are curious how big the 'niche' market of yaoi is, I have two pieces of info.
One is this article at Publisher's Weekly about Aurora Publishing. The important bit is near the end, where Mikako Ogata is quoted as saying about yaoi "You can expect sales of 10,000 copies for each book".
Another is the top 20 best selling manga for March. You may recognize some of the titles. The list is at Precocious Curmudgeon. Source: MangaBlog.
