You may have noticed a few changes around here at YaoiSuki. That's because we've moved to a new host, and in the process upgraded and altered a bunch of our features (most notably: embedded wiki and better forums). Unfortunately, we lost our user database in the move, so those of you who were signed up will unfortunately need to sign up again. It's a pretty painless process though!

Gia over at giapet.net has a forum post liveblogging the TOKYOPOP panel at SDCC, where they've announced the oldschool BLish title Silver Diamond by Shiho Sugiura, plus two new Blu titles - Koi cha no Osaho by Yaya Sakuragi and Fallen Moon by Toui Hasumi (of Othello fame).

Just spotted a quick'n'cute little tidbit: according to Anime on DVD, Media Blasters may have licensed the manga Mousou Shoujo Otakukei, which is about a dude who falls in love with the local bespectacled good-girl...who turns out to be a BL fanatic, naturally.
While I was looking into the manga I saw a lot of people (especially yaoi fans) who seemed to really like it, so it sounds like fun.
Edit: My friend gia managed to find a cute shot from the manga in which the main character is watching something very FMA-like, featuring "Fred" and "Troy," no doubt.

First off, all the new June and 801 licenses have been identified. Fayedoll sent me a link to the Tokudane LJ here with links to the Amazon.ca listings for the books. Also, Mangacast has their posts up for the new licenses, complete with cover shots. The post for the June titles is here and the 801 Media titles are here.
Also, 801 Media has confirmed that Weekend Lovers by Kiriko Fuwa is an upcoming 801 Media title. The title is on Amazon.ca here, also found by Fayedoll.
Also, over at the Broccoli Blog they say here that they will have Delivery Cupid for sale at Otakon.

Hey folks, we just got a press release from Yaoi Press announcing a brand-new Yaoi convention called Yaoi Jamboree that's going to take place in Glendale, Arizona (near Phoenix) next year, June 20th to 22nd.
Yaoi Press has apparently united with staffers from "two Phoenix area anime conventions" (doesn't say which ones) to create the 18+ only con, which will feature Japanese guests as well as OEL creators, "unique main events involving male actors from an area playhouse," and a fan art book published by YP.
So if you can't make it to the West Coast for Yaoi Con in October, here's a second option. Meanwhile, Jordan and I will start panicking about how to sneak yet ANOTHER convention into our busy, busy summer schedules.

Wagupocky noted on Yaoi Daily Cafe that Maki Murakami is going to be attending Otakon. She will be a guest of Tokyopop.
As has been mentioned as few places, like MangaBlog and The Icarus Publishing Blog, ICv2 has stated in an article that the growth of yaoi licensing is finally growing faster than the growth of yaoi sales. The article also goes on to to say that this "could indicate the possibility of a logjam in the marketplace this fall since 32 out of the 87 new series are yaoi properties." Well, we all knew someday the amazing growth of the yaoi industry would finally level off. The trends ICv2 are talking about may or may not point to that happening this year.
What the article doesn't mention is that most yaoi properties tend to be standalones as opposed to long running series like, say, Bleach. They did specify 'series', but I think they meant 'titles'. I combed the lists of upcoming titles and saw very few multi-volume series. I didn't double check every title, but I only count six multi-volume series that are starting between now and the end of the year.
Though, since it took 190 announced manga titles and 7 OAV properties to where we are right now I doubt this means the industry is headed for serious trouble. (I'll put a publisher by publisher breakdown after the jump so you can check my math.) There are also dozens of global BL titles, 8 yaoi novel series or standalones and ongoing publications like Rush and BL Twist. Convention season is not over yet and I expect to hear about more licenses at Comic Con, Yaoi Con and possibly Otakon.
