You may have noticed a few changes around here at YaoiSuki. That's because we've moved to a new host, and in the process upgraded and altered a bunch of our features (most notably: embedded wiki and better forums). Unfortunately, we lost our user database in the move, so those of you who were signed up will unfortunately need to sign up again. It's a pretty painless process though!

A nice pile of news fell into my lap this morning, so let's get started!
I got a nice note from Pop Japan Travel confirming that Makoto Tateno, creator of Yellow and Hero Heel (to name but two), will be participating in their Fujoshi Paradise Yaoi tour. No word yet on whether it'll be a dinner (as was scheduled last time, though the tour wound up being cancelled) or some other event, but one way or another, the tour-takers will get to meet Tateno-sensei.
 | Juné has a new blogpost talking about what's going on with several series: Our Kingdom and Il Gatto Sul G have both caught up with Japanese releases, so they will come out much more slowly from now on. And on the eternal question of The Art of Loving volume 2-- it still doesn't exist. |
Aaaand from the 801 Media blog comes word of a new BL game! It's called Kichiku Meganeand it looks like it follows a pair of salarymen. And we want J-list to pick it up, like Enzai and Absolute Obedience, right? (At least we know they know about it, since it's on the cover of the July B's Log, which they sell.)
That's it! Jordan is still in Japan buying prizes for a new contest (it's turning into one hell of an errand...hurry up and get back already!), but I'll have a review of Scandalous Seiryo University up soon :)

Wiggle of the Yaoi in English Yahoo! group has noted the presence of a potential new Deux title, Yakuza in Love, on Amazon.
And now, some site news: some of you may have noticed a certain...slowness about YS. Well, we're going to move to a new host to fix it, and while I'm at it I'm also upgrading to a newer version of the backend software we use. I'm not sure when the official move will happen, but I just thought I'd let you know. In the meantime, I've found that visiting the site at "www.yaoisuki.net" operates much faster than simply "yaoisuki.net."
One more item: we ARE doing another round of Yaoi Awards this year to lead up to our Yaoi Con coverage! Just thought I'd let you know. Feel free to submit any nominations to

, since Jordan snuck off to Japan when I wasn't looking, that whore. But she promised to bring back prizes for a new contest... ;)

Kitty Correction and Yaoi: The Magazine |

So Jordan and I are having fun with our local KumoriCon this weekend, and to our happy surprise, Media Blasters/Kitty Media is here-- and managing editor Frank Pannone as well. He told us a little tidbit about Crimson Spell: some fans have whined about the romanization of the main character's name as "Bald," which was apparently chosen by Ayano Yamane-sensei. Well, now Sensei has come back to Kitty and said "oops," because she has since realized what "bald" means in English. They will be reprinting Crimson Spell volume 1 with the new romanization, which if I remember correctly will be "Vald."
In other news, we got a press release for Yaoi Magazine, a new "Western, English speaking fan's lifestyle magazine." The 18+ bi-monthly publication will include art, fiction, and articles starting with their first issue in November. Hit the jump for the full press release if you want.
They are currently accepting submissions for fiction, articles, manga, centerfold art, and any other ideas they might like, with a due date of October 1st.

Some of you may have already heard, but word has it on forums around the 'net that BLU-licensed BL manga Junjo Romantica is getting made into a TV anime. ANN claims it was a leak. Meanwhile, the page has been taken down, but-- yay! A new yaoi TV anime! Hopefully better than Gakuen Heaven!

Our old buddy gia is back at work at theOtaku and oh lookie! Ai no Kotodama is getting a live-action movie! Some of you may know Ai no Kotodama as Words of Devotion-- published by Juné.
Gia also notes that this is awfully similar timing to the Takumi-kun live-action movie. I, for one, welcome our live-action BL overlords.
