Weee... The site is live at the new host.  You all make it here ok?

What do you think of the changes and all of Jen's hard work?

Haven't made up my mind yet. Undecided
But it's a lot slower than before.  Sad

I'm sorry to see we can't write anything in our profiles. Is that going to change?

Yes. Smiley I have many tricks up my sleeve yet to play out!

I'm surprised you're finding it slow though-- it's largely been faster for Jordan and I. Do let me know if that continues and I'll see what I can do.

I worry that our layout may be part of the problem, honestly.

(Formally, Cori22)

I'm enjoying the new buttons for the forums, but it seems a little slower to me as well. I need to go explore some more.

Can the problem with slowness be the same as before - that the "www." is missing, or doesn't that matter anymore?

Is the function (in the profile) of showing threads you're keeping an eye on comming back too?
It was really handy to have it like that.

The www shouldn't make a difference anymore. (Actually, it shouldn't have before, either.) If it does for you, let us know!

I don't know if I'll be able to do the forum subscriptions in the profile anymore-- the profile is handled by one piece of software, and the forum is a separate program that is integrated. The old forum was too, but the two programs have different integration features.

I'll see what I can do, but no promises! I'm not a programmer myself, so I'm dependent on what other people have done ^_^;

I have added a couple of new profile tabs, though: an "about me" where you can plug in your fave manga/anime/etc. and a bio, plus a "My URLs" tab where you can link to your blog, website, facebook, etc.

Anything else you guys would like in the profiles?

Have a few questions about the profile:
What's "Connections"?
And what is the editor "TinyMCEWYSIWYG" for?

The editor isn't really for anything at this point; it has to be an option because it matters quite a bit to Jordan and I in the back end, but there's currently no application which is available to end-users that makes use of it.

"Connections" is actually something we had before, not that it was used much-- basically if you go to the profile of another member, you can request to add them as a connection, more or less like "friending" someone. There are different classes of connection: Jordan and I are "partners in crime," and there's also currently friend, relative, and coworker.

Anyway, the connections function doesn't really *do* anything at the moment-- it's just for fun. Smiley And it's also just part of the default install of our user-management software.

Are you going to add classes?
EX: (My) Uke, (My) Seme or some other Yaoi related or fun classes.

Also, the "Bio" is fine if you want to know the person, but it would be fun to also have a more "kink"-oriented page. With info about what kind of Yaoi things you like: turn ons/offs, how you like your Uke/Seme, what kind of smex scenes do you like. (For me it's definitely when they do it in the bathroom.)
It'd be fun to see if someone likes the same thing as you and it'd be easier to recomend titles if you know what others like.
